Look over your cranberries and toss any bad ones. Wash them thoroughly. Splash with boiling hot water and then wash under running cold water again. Mash the berries with a spoon, add a cup of water and mix. Sift through cheesecloth.
Place the pupl and leftovers in a bowl, add a cup of water again, mix well, place in a cheesecloth and wring the juice out. Repeat the procedure one more time and then throw leftover pulp out. Mix the juice with cold water and add sugar. Pour into a clean glass jar or glass bottle and keep refrigerated.
You will need:
- 1 pound of cranberries
- 1 cup of sugar
- 7 cups of cold water
