Beetroot is not everyone’s cup of tea and we get that. There are no beets in this borscht recipe, but this is still a very traditional Ukrainian borscht. Full of tomato and cabbage flavor this borscht is a treat for those who don’t love beets but still crave some traditional borscht soup.

Serving size: 1 cup (8 oz)
Step 1: Add Borscht Kit contents and 4 cups of broth into a cooking pot. Add 1 more cup if you add protein.
Step 2: Add 1/2 cup cubed chicken breast* (optional)
Step 3: Simmer borscht for 20-30 minutes.
Step 4: You are ready to serve! Ladle borscht into bowls, add a healthy dollop of sour cream on top and enjoy this delicious hearty borscht soup. You may sprinkle with chopped fresh dill, chives or parsley to add flavor and texture.
*You can use any protein of your choice in place of chicken or add none at all!
